Description/Dimensions: Attributed to David Drake. This jug has four punctuates at the top near the spout which is very characteristic of Dave's work. It also has a small impressed horseshoe on the other side below the spout that is one of the most interesting production marks used by Dave. Circa 1840-1850 made either at John Landrum or BF Landrum pottery sites. Approx 4 gallons and stands 16 1/2" tall.
Damage/Repairs: Except for a missing handle, it is in excellent condition without chips, cracks, or repairs.
Description/Dimensions: Signed Ferrell. Measures 7 1/2 x 6".
Damage/Repairs: Piece is mint.
Description/Dimensions: Alkaline glaze. Marked with 2 slave slash marks. Coil thrown with incised bead around lip and 14 inches high.
Damage/Repairs: Some chipping around rim and minor chipping around handles. No other chips or repairs.
Description/Dimensions: Made at Horse Creek Valley circa 1840. Found on the side of a barn in the dirt. About 4 or 5 gallons, 12-14 inches tall, and 35-40 inches in circumference.
Damage/Repairs: Some chips, flakes, and a few cracks. Horizontal crack near the bottom that completely encircles the piece. Top has been sawed off to make opening bigger and to make it level with the handles. One handle in good shape. Other has some chips and flakes on it.
