Terry Ferrell's Antiques
& Museum
Terry
Ferrell is a very interesting, knowledgeable, and endearing man. Not only is he
the owner and manager of his own antique shop and museum in Edgefield, SC, he is
also a minister. He often jokes that he has "married many beautiful women" in
his sixty years as a minister.
Terry,
like his son Steve, became interested in Edgefield pottery many years ago. Over
the years, he has collected many beautiful and rare pieces of Edgefield pottery
among other things such as quilts, baskets, and glassware. Many of these items
may be seen in his museum which is located at the back of the antique shop.
Terry has taught many classes on antiques since 1980 at Greenville Technical
College, Furman University, and the Greenville Museum of Art and is very willing
to educate his guests about Edgefield pottery and other items in his museum. His
antique shop and museum, located in the courthouse square, are open Thursday
through Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm or by appointment.
Terry
was featured in the December 1999 issue of Better Homes and Gardens American
Patchwork & Quilting featuring his wonderful quilt collection. It is a
lovely article featuring many of his beautiful quilts which may also be found in
his museum. The article also discusses his love of antiques and how he began
collecting in 1963.

collectibles including pottery by Dave. Click on any image on this page for a

Once meeting Terry, many
people will have to agree with the article's sentiment. "Terry Ferrell embodies
Southern charm and grace, as do most of his inspiring antique quilts."
